ABOUT RONALD
From survival to service.
I’m Ronald Belvin, Jr.—a public theologian, writer, speaker, entrepreneur, and Master of Divinity student at Luther Seminary. My work lives at the intersection of Christian faith, Black life and culture, public justice, belonging, pastoral presence, and the ordinary experiences through which people encounter God.My theological formation has been shaped by Luther Seminary and Georgetown University’s Center on Faith + Justice. That experience deepened my conviction that Christian faith is public by nature, and accountable not only for what the Church proclaims inside the sanctuary, but also for what people experience beyond its doors.After surviving a near-fatal medical crisis in 2024 and walking through a long season of recovery, I came to understand my vocation through the movement from survival to service. The Porch™ grew from that second chance: serious theology practiced between the sanctuary and the street.
